The vestries have agreed to support....
The Mission to Seafarer's Charity, particularly since they have just appointed a full time chaplain for Grangemouth who will start in June. There are boxes available for this, suggest one per family, although children can have individual boxes if they wish. We will receive these as part of the collection on 23rd March (Easter Sunday).

The Bishops Lent Appeal
money will be divided between the Hospice for Community of the Visitation in Papua New Guinea and HealthLink360, an Edinburgh based charity which provides medical and psychological care to global workers and their families. We will have a single seperate collection for the Bishops appeal on Palm Sunday.

We have had to update the software that runs stcstm.org to the latest version. Apologies for the time the site was down. The most noticeable change is the sites appearance; unfortunately the old look and feel was not compatible with the new site software. There have also been changes to some of the layout and site functionality and we hope to have everything running as smoothly as possible in the very near future.

Best wishes, Anthony (Site Administrator).

This years St Catharine's car treasure hunt proved a great success, with more than 50 participants braving the challenging but fun hunt set by Bill, and in the process raising £68.
In scenes reminiscent of the great Hare and Tortoise race, the Farndons cruised (literally) to a win. Despite coming in through the door in last place, they managed to get all answers correct and in the shortest miles.

A big thank you to everyone involed in organising the treasure hunt, food and quiz.

At a recent St Catharines vestry meting, it was agreed to be become a Fairtrade Congregation. This means a commitment to using Fairtrade products as far as possible at all social events and certainly tea/coffee etc on Sundays. David hopes everyone will see this as a part of our Christian witness to support a fair and just trading system, particulalrly for producers in Developing Countries.
